the dress.

the dress i wore wasn't beaded
and had no tulle
or sequins.

it didn't have a full skirt
or boning
or silk.

and, coming from a girl with dozens of sequined and tulle-filled numbers in my closet from my performing days,
i loved it.

i loved that i designed it,
that i couldn't try it on before the etsy seller sent it to me,
that it was made from vintage tablecloths
and that it was mine
and no one will ever have any like it
all across the years.

it was so undeniably mine
and i love it.

that's all.
