because the title of that last post brought it up for me.

the song is now ten years old (september 2003. two thousand THREE.)
and i'm feeling like it's the biggest lie of my adolescence
because adam kindly pointed out that it wasn't just a pumpupthepartayjam song
but a sad, sad tale.
he had me listen to the lyrics
and not only did the lyrics make me want to ugly cry,
but i wanted to curl up with some ben & jerrys knowing that ten years have gone by with the song filed away in the wrong folder of my mind.

i'm firing my cataloger up there.
now, excuse me while i pretend there is a santa claus.
