dear boyfriend,

i love staying up all night talking to you.
i love when you wear bowties.
i love that you never act tired when you bike or walk to my house.
i love laughing at the same things while watching a movie.
i love when you make a silly face and i can see what you looked like as a child.
i love how sad you get when you accidentally pull my hair.
i love how patient you are with your crazy boss and work environment.
i love how much you love bruno.
i love when you're dancing and i realize i'm in love with a huge dork.
i love that you help me without a second thought.
i love when a motown song comes on in the grocery store and you sing all the words.
i love that no matter what someone is, acts like, does, you are continually kind.
i love that you are the first thing i think of in the morning and the last thing i think of at night.
i love that you got a pinterest, a facebook account, skype, unlimited texting on your phone, and a blog, all to have more ways to connect with me. {...and also because i asked you}
i love how much you love my friends and how much respect you have for them.
i love love love how much you make me laugh.
i love when you make up songs; they are always so clever.
i love being able to be on a regular old walk around the neighborhood with you and suddenly we are pretending to be superheroes, pow escapees, russian immigrants {even though my russian accent sounds so hispanic}, old people, or old timey swing dancers.
i love that you aren't afraid to be yourself in any situation {even if i'm a little embarrassed, promise i love it}.
i love your weird knowledge of men's shoes and coats.
i love the funny youtube videos you show me.
i love laying next to you. it's one of the best feelings in the world.
i love when you do something that reminds me you grew up in inner-city, primarily african american dc, and you have the capacity to be stereotypically black.
i love your integrity... how committed you are to living a good life.
i love how when i talk with other boys, all i can think about is you.
i love how you visit and help the elderly in your neighborhood, like vicki, who seem to have no one left in this world.
i love that you never want to become a "boring" grown up.
i love when you suddenly know a metric, radiohead, or tegan & sara song better than i do.
i love how physically strong you are, even when you hug me a little too tight.
i love how you will always respect and admire women and aren't afraid to stand up to those who don't.
i love how will come over to my house and put dishes away or take out the garbage or recycling.
i love feeling you playing with my hair, touching my back, holding my hand.
i love that you never want to live a "typical" life.
i love that you made the choice to get baptized a year ago. i love how the gospel was just ingrained in you and you didn't even know it. you already lived it.
i love that you are okay with me singing christmas songs in april.
i love that you will never say a negative thing about me to another person.
i love that you will never say a negative thing about anyone to another person.
i love the desires and dreams you have for this life.
i love how everything i do moves me closer to you.
i love that you know so much about me, the good, the bad, and the crazy, and you still choose to love me.
i love that even though we have days where i just want to shake you and you want to ignore me, we alwaysalwaysalways pray and work through it.
i love looking at pictures of weddings and imaging only you beside me.
i love imagining you with your future children.
i love just standing next to you and knowing what you're thinking.
i love still getting butterflies when you say my name after three years.
i love that it is so easy to find things to love about you.
i love that you are my best friend.

boyfriend,
i love you.

lovelovelovelove,
your girlfriend
