this year was really good.
like, really good.
it stands at the top of the "most important years of my young life so far" list.
here is a short list of some of the highlights of this year:
saw three films at sundance.
helped our friend amber with a styled shoot and got our pictures back from our shoot in dc. we have enough pictures to last us many years now, i think.
celebrated valentine's day one day early.
visited california for dance.
finally met some of adam's amazing friends (he's a secret keeper, that one).
loved spring so much that my heart nearly burst open but it didn't and for that we are all thankful.
had a colonoscopy. it was memorable.
turned the big ole twenty four.
spent many hours in dance competitions.
and then married in the perfect month of july.
traveled to mexico with my new husband.
went to farmer's markets in the summer.
moved to salt lake. then to our new home.
started one of the last semesters of my undergrad. i love typing that sentence.
adjusted to newlywed life. and ikea furniture.
had a quarter life crisis. what am i saying "had"...
visited portland to see kelli and jared.
carved our very first pumpkins.
celebrated my love's birthday.
made a video for thanksgiving.
built a dresser that reminded me of other things.
celebrated having each other in our lives for five years.
traveled to dc to visit family!
got our first christmas ornaments and our first christmas tree.
made a fakey christmas card.
celebrated our first christmas together.
adam told me that 2014 is going to be "our year"
which is a difficult concept for me to grasp because 2013 felt so very good and so very "ours" already.
but he insists.
so, it will be our year
and i don't know what that means, but i believe him. or rather, i have some faith in the way his eyes light up when he says it.
i even like the way 2014 looks. it's got a certain appeal.
i cannot wait to see what will happen in that beautiful lookin' year!
p.s. that picture of my husband up there is awesome and also makes me laugh because 2 pairs of glasses? and he looks a little bit like richard ayoade with shorter hair.
xo.
